Rise of the Underground: Artists to Watch

Underground music fan? You're not alone. These are the confessions of an underground music fanatic; some of these artists you may know, or have at least heard of...and I am pretty sure there are a few you may be a fan of after viewing this.

Here's my Top 10 and there are more where these came from! I am a genre rule breaker and these are not the ONLY underground artists I am aware of...but these are my favorites and the ones that I believe most people can relate to. You can click on their links or their names; either of which will lead you straight to amazing talent. Know of more? Leave a link to their music in the comments and I'll check them out.

Ready? Let's get this started...

1. NSYT (Never Surrender Your Talent) ...below you'll find the VA native in his video "Don't Sleep"... signed with Dimwit Music, he's opened for artists such as Tech9 & Lil Wyte. NSYT on Facebook

2. Snow tha Product! She raps her verses and sings her own hooks...with hot beats & the lyrical ability that could make #Izzy a has-been, if you don't know her YET, you do NOW! Here's her original "YOU'RE WELCOME FT/ TECH N9NE". Snow tha Product on Twitter

3. Lil Crazed ... I've been a fan of his for over a year now. His lyrics are like a breath of fresh air when you're suffocated by the mainstream toxic fumes...if you don't know him, yet...get acquainted! Here's his remix of Pia Mia's "Eyes on You". Lil Crazed on Facebook

4. The talented Ash K. ...as a Texas based rapper/singer, she's bound to blow your mind...I actually discovered her YESTERDAY (6/7)! Here's her cover of Big Krit's "VENT"...Just press play...that's all I got! Ash K. on Twitter

5. Niykee Heaton ... refreshing...underrated...underexposed...the list could go on & on. She went viral after World Star Hip-hop got their hands on her acoustic version of Chief Keef's "Love Sosa". Get ready to fall in love! Here's her cover of Melonie Fiona's "4AM"...just press play. Niykee Heaton on Twitter

6. Eppic...I discovered him on YouTube and have been a fan ever since. I stumbled over his talent when I was going through a personal situation and if I could have duct taped the repeat button to keep from having to continuously press it, I would have. Here he is with Jess Moskaluke with "Storm before the Calm"...you can thank me later! Eppic on Twitter

7. Jess Moskaluke .... Featured in Eppic's original "Storm before the Calm", they compliment each other well. I love the soulful, country sound that she possesses. If you're a music fan not bound by genres, you'll enjoy her country soul and love her alike. Here's her original "Catch Me If You Can". Jess Moskaluke on Twitter

8. Kehlani Parrish...a friend of mine on one of my social networks posted one of her songs on their page and I was up on a late night working on a project & I just happened to click on the link...I am GLAD I did! With a soulful pop sound, I could listen to her music all day! Here's her original "The Letter", which I could do nothing but relate to, which is another reason why I love her.

9. Avery...been a fan since this song I'm posting here within this list...a pop sensation on the rise, if you're a fan of Avril Lavigne, you're bound to fall in love with Avery! Here's her original "Go Screw Yourself (GSY)". Avery on Twitter

10. Macy Kate ... just because she's #10 doesn't mean I like her any less than my #1...I am a genre rule breaker. I will mix my country with my pop and my rap artists and compile them all on one mix and blast it in my car! She's a little rock, a side of pop, with a country flair; this girl is versatile! Here's her cover of "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons produced by Kurt Schnieder. Macy Kate on Twitter
